Hope that everyone's holiday season is off to a great start! We are just back from a couple of trips and I am looking forward to some creative bead time at home over the upcoming weeks. During our trip to Australia, I discovered new bead shops in Fremantle and Margaret River in Western Australia. The trip caused me to do some research on Gaspeite, a gemstone that was discovered as a by-product from the Australian mining industry. A bright, apple green with matrix, this stone has some similar properties to turquoise. I'm just now learning more about it. I picked up a few fun beads and findings as well that I hope make into some new projects to post on the website very soon. Actually, I have to get all of the trip pictures downloaded from my camera before I can do a new jewelry shoot!! Never a shortage of things to do.
Cheers and happy beading!
